S-10 Filter Location
Question:
I have an 88 S-10 longbed with the 2.8L V6. Could anyone tell me where the fuel filter is located. I expected to find it on the frame up from the tank but I didn’t. Thanks in advance.
Response:

Response:
On my 89 it’s on the inside of the left hand frame rail, just behind the transmission mount cross member.
Response:
On my 84 S10 w/2.8l its inside the carb, and is accessed by removing the fuel inlet pipe to the carb. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > I have an 88 S-10 longbed with the 2.8L V6. Response:
On my 89 S15 4.3l It’s on the frame just about under the drivers seat. — For NG please reply to group only.

Response:
I finally found it tucked between the power steering pump and the engine mount. Why GM had to put it in such a difficult to reach spot instead of where they apparently placed it later is beyond me. Nevertheless it has been replaced. Thanks to all who responded.
Response:
That is a kinda wierd place… I have a Sonoma (pretty similiar truck) and mine’s along the frame near the Transfer Case.
