Installing new speakers in Sonoma Doors

Question:

You can also use a small wire with a hook bent into the end of it.  With it you can grab the clip from the back side.  By pushing in on the door panel, you should be able to see the clip and hook it.  Done it many times. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text ->I’ve got manual windows, how exactly do I go about removing the handle? >As he said below… >> Do you have electric or manual windows?  Manual windows will >>require a remover tool (or a versatile screwdriver and some force). >This tool looks like a flat, thin bar with a V shaped notch at the end. This tool looks like a flat, thin bar with a V shaped notch at the end.  You gently (so as not to scratch the crap out of your door panel) slide the bar in behind your handle, and it pops the clip off.  Off comes the handle.  You put the clip on FIRST, then just push the handle on to replace it.

I’ve got manual windows, how exactly do I go about removing the handle? Tim

Like most GM vehicles, you’ll probably need to remove the entire door panel.  Do you have electric or manual windows?  Manual windows will require a remover tool (or a versatile screwdriver and some force). There are several screws to take out, and the rest consists of clips.         Good luck,                         Sulkee .oO Orion XTR Gear FS: Inquire Within Oo. Please help. I’ve got some new speakers to replace the door speakers in my 98 GMC Sonoma. My only problem is how to get the old ones out of there.  I tried to remove the covers on the speakers but they didn’t come off (they started to break). Does anyone have any experience with this?  Please e-mail me if you do. Tim Ryeland
