FWIW, I looked up the crash worthiness of a 1996 Geo Metro. 4 stars for the passenger and the driver (possible of 5). All 1996 cars listed below are worse than the Geo Metro in crash worthiness. 3 stars or worse just for the driver, passenger data not included. Shot out of a cannon the Geo will have a higher velocity than a Mustang. The mustang will be propelled farther however.

Well I was working at Trak Auto today and a few people came up to me Kepp in mind I have a 3.4 v-6 95 Firebird automatic kept BONE Stock except for Dynomax Muffler and Rapidfire plugs, anyway the first guy had a 96 4.6 Rustang and wanted to race me, next a blue 99 Rustang 4.9 motor also, and finally a 89 chevy cavalier z-24, Now i know i can take the rustangs , but im not so sure about the z he said he had some mods done but even then could i take him? Im fairly sure i can, Im going to set a date to take on all 3 at a time at M.I.R. (Maryland International Raceway). I am modifying the bird though, hopefully soon MSD DIS-11 Ignition, cold air induction, ram air hood, shift kit, accel coil packs, accel wires, anything else? Thanks, Chris
