Silverado 1500 vs Sierra GMC
Question:
If you’re comparing a 2001 to a 2000, make sure the 2001 isn’t a new "heavy duty" model. That may be your increase in price (besides the average yearly markup).

Response:
Truck for truck , model for model, they are ALMOST the same, and I mean within a few hundred bucks. The only diff may be options, or dealer pricing. And yes, I am from Canada, and I have seen the pricing, and know it intimately <sic>. jed

Response:
The Silverado and Sierra are exactly the same except for grill and a little of the front end sheet metal. Everything else is EXACTLY the same. The difference is in variability of option pricing. Usually, the GMC costs more.
