Question about ignition switch on column
Question:
It’s there to prevent your dangling keys from marring the finish. And that’s not the ignition switch. It’s the locking and actuating mechanism for the switch. The switch is much lower in the column.
:I have a 95 GMC Sierra pickup and under the ignition switch on the column :there is a black rubber square plug of some sort…I looked inside, but :can’t seem to tell what it is for? : :
Response:
well, for us neophytes, we always regard the "slot where the key goes" as the ignition switch….lol I cannot believe GM thought of that feature for a friggin truck…sheesh….There has to be a reason for the existance of this piece..
