New tires for my 1999 GMC Sierra?
Question:
Indeed. the Steeltex’s just came under fire as well. Anyone heard anything about Cooper tires having problems? — AIM- RCburntkat ICQ- 37321195 http://burnt-kat.streetracing.org/index.html – work in progress.. Brett & Valerie, I just installed a lift kit and wheels and tires on my 2000 Silverado. I will sell you the stock wheels and tires, 16 inch firestone steeltex, z-71 alloy wheels (new style) for a fair price and I live in Florida. Just e-mail me. Brett (my name also)

maybe some of those michelin xps rib tires. they seem like they are a really good ‘highway only’ tire… (http://www.michelin-us.com/us/eng/tire/catalog/xpsrib.htm) – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> I need to replace my tires on my extra cab truck, I do all highway driving > in florida only, What are the best tires with little noise I can buy? Well, first of all I would look at the tires that came on the rig, and determine what kind of service and performance they gave you. My Z71 came with the Goodyears and they’ve wore like iron. With strictly highway driving in FL take a good look at standard load tire, with a good treadwear rating, medium traction rating, and a good temperature rating(for the FL heat). Stay away from discount tire stores as you often get what you pay for. On a previous rig I had Sears LT235/85R16E Trailhandler AT’s, a 35K mile tire that gave me 68K miles of use in Alaska.
