Not unless you’ve got over 36k on the odometer. Even then, if you complain loud and long enough and contact Chevy customer assistance, you can probably get them to cover it(Note:I’d only use this approach if the nice guy approach nets you nothing).

Hi! I remember that someone posted a link to a website that outlined GM’s procedure (TSB??) (and admittance that something is wrong…) concerning the replacement of the steering column shaft on 1999 GMC Sierras and Chevy Silverados. Seems the shafts end up rattling and banging in turns. Mine is starting to now. Gotta get it done WAY before the warranty is up…!! Could anyone post that weblink again or tell me of their experiences…?? Thanks….. Jim
