It could be anywhere, often when the key is shut off the guages go where they feel like going. It’s not important as long as the guage reads properly when the key is on. Ian

If you want a rebuit mill and not a salvage piece, you might look at rebuiltengines.com. Since they are a dot com business, I would assume they could be persuaded to ship to Canada. Also, I have used Jasper longblocks before, I have had to major problems. That engine is bullet proof! I have seen those go well on to 200k miles with out mechanical problems. The only problem they had was serpentine belt tensioners.
