Minor problems w/'92 GMC Jimmy S15
Question:
I love my truck-it runs great. But I have had minor problems. Anyone who has experienced problems with their trucks please let me know. Some problems with mine include the auto door locks stick sometimes, my temp guage on the digital dash doesn’t work, and is it normal for that heinous grinding sound when I’m in 4 wheel drive and making a tight turn?

If you are turning on pavment, which you shouldn’t be, then that grinding sound is both normal and very bad. I don’t have auto door locks, but the temp gauge on my 89 S15 pickup doesn’t work either, it didn’t since I bought it new. Doesn’t bother me if it doesn’t bother the engine

I don’t know about the first 2 problems, but as for the third, you shouldn’t be running in 4 wheel drive on dry pavement – the system’s not designed for it. It’s only for use on slippery surfaces.
