Headliner
Question:
Wrong they can be purchased!! Chevy is the number one market for replacement and aftermarket items. www.lmctruck.com deals in factory replacement parts and aftermarket replacements for Ford and Chevrolet. Please know your facts before you mislead others. And the replacement factory match headliner is only $119 for his truck. Hardly expensive at all. Considering most local shops will charge you $50 just to replace the fabric of a headliner. Maverick

Adam, Check with a good interior upholstery shop. The fact that you don’t have the BASE might make this job a lot more expensive than you think. The base is the cardboard panel that is cut and molded specifically for that model of truck. They can’t be purchased for a truck that old. Niko

Adam – check with an interior/convertible top shop in your area. You may be able to get away cheaper with having it supplied and installed.

Alright I orered the catalog, but is there anyone who can tell me a genral price i could expect to pay? I dont want to buy this truck the find out i have to spend 5 grand on a new headliner or something. Also does this sound like a truck that is worth buying? And it looked like it was an automatic on the floor, but it didn’t look like a normal auto shifter, could this be a shifter for 4wd or something? Thanks in advance again Adam

Well my book is for my GMC Fullsive Jimmy which has a headliner about the same as a Pickup. It lists for 119.00 for an exact factory panel. It costs at least 50 dollars for a place to redo a headliner and maybe 25 to 50 for a junkyard one so you’d be better off buying a brand new one with the right factory color and everything. Plus it doesn’t have the rotting and all everything that a 10 year old or more headliner would have. The only other place I can think of you might be able to find one is www.JCwhitney.com which they sell one that’s $200 and looks kinda of funny looking. But that’s up to you and your bank account. Good luck. Maverick

I had a headliner installed in my 88 Cadillac (that’s for sale, btw, email for details) and it ran me about $150.

You can buy a replacement one factory issue by requesting a catalog from www.lmctruck.com for the years span that your truck would fit into. They also sell damn near every part for your truck in this catalog. I buy most of my parts from them as I can’t find them any where else or the dealership wants way to much money for the same part they offer waaaaaaayy cheaper. Maverick
