'93 S-10 Blazer Heater Core Removal?

Question:

in addition to excellent info given, having some extra extension bars & a u-joint for your 1/4" socket set will help reach some of the screws. Hope you don’t have the dash with tray underneath like my 94 GMC S-15 Jimmy SLE does — reduced the wiggle room and added to the pain ! –reed – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > getting ready to do the same thing on a 94. here’s what i came up with. > http://www.sytyarchives.com/howto/heater_core.php > miked > 85cabriolet > 92 jetta > 94 s-10 blazer > 97 trek 850 > By the Haynes manual, a decent socket set, and dig in. By the Haynes manual, a decent socket set, and dig in. It’s really not that huge a deal.

As the subject line reads, I’ve got a ‘93 S-10 Blazer with a leaking heater core that I need to replace. Is it true that you need to remove the dash to pull that puppy???  Anybody got any helpful advice on how to go about this? Also, are there any complications that show up if you have the digital dash? My regular mechanic doesn’t want to mess with it because it has the digital dash, so it looks like I’ll be doing it myself.                    TIA    JELo —–= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =—– http://www.newsfeeds.com – The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! —–==  Over 80,000 Newsgroups – 16 Different Servers! =—–
