1998 GMC Jimmy 4X4 won't shift into 4 wheel drive.
Question:
I ‘m posting this for a friend of mine. He says that it will shift in to hi but the wheel don’t spin. He think that someone burned up the low on it because it won’t even shift into low. Any ideas?

1) If it’s got less than 36k miles, take it to the dealer and let him fix it…warranty covers this. 2)If not under warranty…change the motor pack on the transfer case. the most usual symtom of a bad motor pack is 4 high and 2 high, but no 4 low.
