what year was driving lights standard

I’m referring to the Chevy’s/gmc trucks, my girlfriend has a 99 Tahoe and we were wondering what year it was standard that the daytime running lights came on when ever the car was on with out the e-break.

I know it was optional 96 and believe standard in 97. My 96 s10 had them and I know I didnt request the option, though they may have been optional…pulled the fuse _matt

My 95 Tahoe didnt, but I believe the 96 had them as factory standard.
