Tires to fit on stock k1500
Question:
You mentioned you adjusted your torsion bars to level your truck. Did it change the ride much or create any other problems for you. I am thinking of doing the same. I have a 99 GMC Sonoma and not about to pay the $$$$$$$ for a 4 inch lift when all I want to do is bring the front end up an inch or two. This newsgroup has been a huge help to me in the past, so I am once again casting out a line for some info. Thanks in advance. I have a 1992 k1500 (4wd) step side pickup. It is time to replace my tires, and I want to gain a little more ground clearance if I can on the wheels I have(16 inch), with the stock suspension. Right now it has P245/75R16’s on it. What I would like to know is if I can put P245 85/R16’s on it, without any fender scraping problems? If anyone else out there has done this, or knows it can work then please let me know. Thanks.
