I’ve heard that a new diesel engine for chevy called duramax will be available on 2001 models. does anyone have any more information? thanks, chris

I just read the article. It sounds like the author has had some inside info about the testing, because he is right on the mark. I’ve driven several of the 6.6 / Allison combo’s, and I don’t think anybody else is going to sell any trucks when that comes out. This month’s issue of Diesel progress also reports on the Duramax and the Allison. It may be an engine they’re planning to get from Isuzu. Said to be pretty good.

Cummon guys, you’re in the 4×4.chevy-trucks list and don’t know about www.62-65-dieselpages.com web site hey have all the info in the new Duramax 6600 engine from GMC/Isuzu (50/50). Cheers Brian
