If your Z71 is a 99 Chevy or later, look at http://www.piaa.com/accessories.html. I put that PIAA air dam on my 99 Silverado with a pair of PIAA 80 ProXT driving lights. I was very pleased with the looks and performance. Don’t get the pencil beams, though, unless you’re using the things to try to see and avoid deer at night. They are indeed narrow beams, really light up the sides of the roads if you aim them right. If your truck is 98 or earlier, Chevy or GMC, PIAA also makes a replacement air dam with sapce for driving lights for those vehicles too. H McCollister

I want to put a set of off road lights on my Z 71 I go to the beach a lot at night, I was thinking to put a set of daylighters on what do you think ? Also where to mount them I don’t have a light bar or a brush guard on the truck. Would it look tacky to mount them on the bumper ? I personally don’t like to see lights mounted on the bumper….Your opinion may vary. Lots of people do it though. I have daylighters on my rollbar and on my brush guard. Let me tell you that the ones on the roll bar shine a lot farther, and illuminate a greater area. they are identical lights, but the height of the roll bar is the reason they work better. Oh yeah, make sure you get the sealed beam, 385,000 CP daylighters, not the 200,000 halogen ones. The sealed beams are brighter and better. And finally, make sure your alternator is in top shape!! Those lights are thirsty!!!

You put them where you need them. If you drive at night, you should aleady know where you want more light at. You mought your lights to illuminate those locations. You might have to get creative.
