Help! 94 GMC 1 Ton Duelly

Question:

You could try rotating the tires at every oil change.  might strech them out farther.  are the tires wearing evenly?  I have always thought uneven wear was a sign of misalignment.  My dad owns a 78 1 ton dually 4×4 that I have seen go 30,000 miles before needing new tires… most of those miles were in fields and took 10 years to accumulate so dry rot was a bigger problem. > are you driving around empty?? no weight in the front will cause the tires to > wear out on the outers first…

NO weight in the front?? my truck doesnt run very well after I pull the engine!  I take it you meant the back? Outside rear tires wearing out? or front tires? – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Problem is:  Excessive  steering tire wear.  Have had alignment checked over > and over always the same answer- to factory specs.
