GM shop manuals

Question:

Anyone know where I can get a complete set of GM shop manuals for a 2000 Blazer.  Dealers I’ve dealt with seem less than helpful.  It’s the "I don’t know" sickness. DJM Before you buy.

Response:

See the dealership manager and make it clear that you’re a little disappointed with how your very reasonable request is being addressed. If not satisfied get the number of the regional or national director of customer service. We’ve all got to work toward letting GM know we will not accept "A little less than helpful" and hold feet to the fire. I don’t think the manuals are available from any other source. > Anyone know where I can get a complete set of GM shop manuals for a > 2000 Blazer.  Dealers I’ve dealt with seem less than helpful.  It’s > the "I don’t know" sickness. > DJM > Before you buy.

– Old iron rules OK. Before you buy.

Response:

I’ve found some manuals listed at www.acdelco.com .  When I was digging around, it looked as if they could be ordered directly from their site – or at least would give you the part numbers to approach the parts dept.  at the less than friendly dealer (or a friendly one if you can find one). Bob

Response:

Try Helm Publications.  I have been buying service manuals from them since 1990.  Their home page is http://www.helm.com.  A good GM dealer parts department should have referred you to them.  But some dealers want to keep their customers uninformed, that way you really never know if they are just ripping you off or really fixing a problem.

Response:

That goes through HELM Inc. – www.helminc.com . There is probably something in the owners’ manual directing you to them for a service manual. They want $120.00 for a service manual for a 2000 Blazer — Robert Hancock      Saskatoon, SK, Canada Home Page: http://members.home.net/hancockr – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > Anyone know where I can get a complete set of GM shop manuals for a > 2000 Blazer.  Dealers I’ve dealt with seem less than helpful.  It’s > the "I don’t know" sickness. > DJM > Before you buy.

Robert, This sees to be the going rate for the GM manuals.  My Express and Ventures are both going to cost me $120 each + shipping. Best Wishes.. Paul…/NH

How about parts manuals? I would like to find a parts break-down for my 1990+ Chev/GMC trucks. Does anyone know of a source? Thanks – Tom.
