it?? It didn’t have 180,000 miles on it when it was stolen it had 86,000. I only had it 4 months. Bought it in August 86, stolen December 86. I owned it till April 91. Maumbulu don’t care how many miles are on cars they steal, all they want is about $200 for the parts they rip off. If they even get that I bet they bent the 4 rims driving that car that night…..they had to Sold the car with 196,000 miles to Lou Lou , a truck driver with some train outfit. I had heard he run it up to 225,000 and the rearend went out, but he fixed it…. HF Presently cruising in ~_~_~_>> 4. 1991 Pontiac Bonneville LE      The 1/4 Million Mile Car. My 73 Impala was repainted before I got it. Then in no time both quarter panels & rear window  channel rotted away My 68 Le Sabre was all rotted away in the trunk, quarters, floor pan, good top and when down my hair blew in the breeze. My 78 Olds was awesome, in great condition, rode great, not one problem, then maumbulu stole it,  abused it, stripped it & dunped it. Then I got it back, a Mess ! My 91 Bonneville – What can I say ! Its made it to a quarter million miles. Best of the bunch. My 89 Z -24, convertible fever stuck again. Threw alot of money out the window on repairs in a short time span. My next car ????? Who knows. My 49 Pontiac had an intermittant loose connection in the light up Chief Pontiac hood ornament. My 52 Buick had a porthole that kept on clogging up My 60 Corvair had rear wheels that kept falling off My 68 Chevy had motor mounts that caused the engine to shoot up through the hood when I floored it My 75 Buick had catalytic converters that kept setting my asphalt driveway on fire My 78 Olds Diesel required new head gaskets every oil change My Cadillac V-8-6-4 usually was a v-0. My Chevette Scooter Diesel had trouble starting when the temperature was below 80F My Silver Cadillac Cimarron sat out in the rain for a week and all the paint washed off.  It looked like a denuded Citation. When I traded in my Vega they gave me credit for a simulated leather steering wheel on my next car, a v-8 chevy monza.  On that car,  to change some of the spark plugs, I had to drill holes through the fenderwells. But hope springs eternal, and I just bought a 2003 GMC pickup truck. It appears to be better made.   But to be safe, I went with the GM extended warranty. Ray

Vehicle material gets thinner every year in order to save weight so that they conform to US Federal EPA laws and also to lessen mfg costs. Vehicles get more complicated every year partly for the same reason and partly to sell consumers all sorts of goodies they think they want. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > I had my first GM in 1983 and my last in 1999 (6 in all same type) and I > swear each new car was worse built and less reliable than the one before and > I spent more money to get a higher spec car each time. > Why was that?
