Duramax ?
Question:
Tom, I hate to say it, but your are rihgt about the Bleu oval curse. Still looking. Started out to pick up the 2500 GMC on Friday, but a car hit a gas main and it took three hours to make the 41 mile trip to the credit union. Teh credit union was closed by then, so, no new truck until at least next weekend. After everything the dealer want to much for the 3500.

over at the diesel page forums, many have complained about the clearance on the 2500hd/3500 lights leaking water when it’s raining, so it might not be too bad of a thing to not have them. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > The dealer I have been working with is telling me that my choice of an long > bed with the 2500 Extended LT package is delaying my build date. I wouldn’t get them… the one piece middle light (instead of three in the middle) looks dumb as hell. Why can’t Chevy just leave the basic stuff alone??? Tony Kimmell Normal, IL "Injection is nice, but I’d rather be BLOWN" 90 Dodge 4×4 diesel 90 Buick Skylark 70 Chevy C-20

The dealer I have been working with is telling me that my choice of an long bed with the 2500 Extended LT package is delaying my build date. I have talked to the factory folks a couple of times and they simply refer me back to the dealer – they say the order has been accepted but no build date. The order was placed 5/23. Another buyer also placed an order that same day – and has a 9/15 date. Does anyone know what option might be holding my truck up? I found an GMC SLT out of state, but it is missing a couple of things I wanted, like the heated mirrors and roof lights. They do confirm the local dealers thoughts on the options causing problems with the build date. I had thought that the local Chevy service center could take care of the GMC, but I asked about it and was told that Chevy can not do warranty work on GMC. Is that true? The local dealer has a 3500 LT on the lot, that will let me have for invoice. A lot of truck, and I wonder if I need that much truck – currently towing abt 8,000 boat, but planning to sell the boat and looking at getting a 5th wheel next spring. I normally would not mind the wait, but my F250 is…… Well let just say it has seen better days. I am wondering if I should take the dealer up on the 3500 or simply do nothing and wait for the one I ordered.
