Can any one tell me how much more do you get per gallon with a desiel motor compare to a gas motor 5.7 chev truck?I know that desiel motors are stronger and last a long time.

the gas will get better than the desiel. gm desiel not worth a shit compared to the rest, have a 6and a half turbo 65k not worth a shit. my 84 6.2 GMC 34 ton 4×4 got 22mpg when new. It now has 252,000 miles on it and is not even close to wearing out. In fact I just got back from a 6000 mile round trip to Oregon in it. Not bad for a "piece of shit" hey. A 1/2 ton chevy can get 24mpg if geared right with the 6.2L Or so I’ve read. Owners of Diesel blazers have advertised 17 (Tow package installed) to 19-20. I don’t know the gearing on that.
