Any guesses??
Question:
I have a ‘87 Chevy 3/4 ton automatic, my dad has the same truck except it’s a GMC and is a 4 speed standard. He has a set of wheels and tires I was going to buy. We swapped out at his house, and the tires wont fit on my truck. They rub low on the fenders towards the cab side. On his truck he has plenty of clearance all the way around. Here’s the puzzle… his truck has had no body modifications at all, and our wheel wells measure out to be exactly the same size. So why wont the wheels fit on my truck too? As it stands I’m probably going to go ahead and get a lift, so this wont be an issue. But, I’d still love to know why in the heck this is…. Thanks in advance, -Jenn
Response:
Your springs could be worn or maybe his has heavier duty springs.
