4×4 help
Question:
a couple months ago i had to replace the 4×4 actuator in my front axle. I have a 93 gmc seirra 1500 5.7 4 wheel was working fine. when i start the truck and shift into 4 hi it goes in . when i’m driving and shift back to two wheel, the indicator shows it went back to two wheel. After a minute or so you can here what sounds like the front axel spinning,or disengaging maybe, i then slow down, come to a stop and can hear the front axel slowing, slowing, then as it’s ready to stop ,you hear it banging into gear.( thats what it sounds like).the shift is still in 2 wheel and will not go back into 4wheel unless i turn off the ignition and engine. could it be a switch? hope someone can help.

wheel drive,i have no problems. Now i’m thinking the problem is only shifting out of 4 wheel while moving(disengageing on the move). Any one help?
