350 intake manifold

Question:

I am looking to replace an intake manifold on my 80 3/4 ton GMC’s 350. Does anyone have any experience with Edelbrock, Holley, or Weiand intakes?  Basically, I am looking for good low rpm torque and horsepower.  The engine currently has a stock cam, stock manifolds, and a 600cfm 1850 Holley carb.  I am planning on still using the same carb. please reply to the newsgroup, and email me as well. Response:

A manifold won’t really do you any good if you have the small valve/port truck heads. They are quite restrictive. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – >I am looking to replace an intake manifold on my 80 3/4 ton GMC’s 350. >Does anyone have any experience with Edelbrock, Holley, or Weiand >intakes?  Basically, I am looking for good low rpm torque and >horsepower.  The engine currently has a stock cam, stock manifolds, and >a 600cfm 1850 Holley carb.  I am planning on still using the same carb. >please reply to the newsgroup, and email me as well. >Dan Shade
