Same problem with 1999 Chev Silverado Z-71. Vibration and drift to the right. Again many, many visits to dealer and denial of problems. Finally they paid to have the tires trued and balanced on the truck … the vibration went away. Did several alighnments and the readings were all good but still drifted right. Finally swapped front tires left – right and now it drives straight…. but slight out of balance now (remember balanced on the truck) I believe the tires used are bad or possibly out of round rimss. Don’t feel alone, love the truck was very frustrated with the front end and dealers slow to no help.

My friend has a 1999 GMC 1500, Z 71 package, super cab, short box. He has had it back to the dealer several times complaining of veering problems. They have tried different tires and front end alignments.and several other things and still it won’t go down the road straight. He had a lawyer take on the case through the state AG and just heard back that GM says there is no problem and that the lawyer can possibly get him a few thousand dollars from it but it will take about 1 1/2 years to get into court and he will still have the problem truck. I told him about newsgroups and the help I have received from them in the past. He said give it a try and so here I am. Anyone heard of similar problems and any possible fixes. Thanks in Advance.
