1993 GMC C1500 AC Compressor Relay

Question:

Does anyone know where in the truck the AC Compressor Relay is located.  I know it is my problem but I can not find the relay. I am sure this is what I need to replace as I can jump power from the battery to the compressor and ac works fine. Thanks Steve

That only tells you that the clutch works. It could also be the low pressure switch or the dash switch. Dave

Response:

Dave – The dash switch is coming on and not sure if the low pressure switch is the problem as I am not sure where it is either.  However, I had the pressure checked and the pressure in the system is okay. Thanks Steve

Sorry, I’m not familiar with your year, but on my ‘99 the pressure switch is on the accumulator. It has a 2 wire harness going to it. Unplug the harness and put your jumper on the two terminals(harness side). If the compressor works, the switch is most likely, bad. Also, on mine, the relay is in the electrical center under the hood, drivers side.
