Better question, will you still be driving a POS ford or will you have got fed up with lack of quality and moved up to something else? At your price point there are much better options…. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> BLUE BLUE BLUE…have you seen the red?? > Ok Which color for a 2002.5 EB 4×4? Dark Red or True blue? Ford’s Paints are pretty damm good. Just like their engines. I have a 95 Explorer 7 years old Baked in Texas and Arizona sun year after year THis car looks brand spakin new, especially after a 3 step hand wax by myself using maguire products. Id say though, the True Blue looks absolutly amazing. Either one is gonna do ya good Erik

AZGuy, Would you like a kleenex to wipe those tears? There are numerous others who have posted lately who feel the same way about Explorers. Yes Currently I have an Audi S4 and if your talking about reliability vs. an Explorer this car has gone through 2 turbos, an outside temp gauge, a new interment cluster and a power window regulator. So it has not been the most reliable car I have ever owned, but I love driving it. As for the Explorer, I can get a 2002.5 Explorer EB 4×4 with V8, Advance-trac, side airbags, power moonroof, and RSS for a little over $33,000 out the door with the discounts and rebates currently offered on it. I challenge you to find another SUV that offers this comprehensive safety list, and towing ability, and interior comfort. I hated the Envoy and while the engine was excellent the rest of the car had more rattles after 2,000 miles than my Audi has after 40,000. the Demo Explorer I drove had 11,000 miles and had no rattles, The JGC is too small, and I was looking at used M-classes and the their reliability issues coupled with the expensive repair bills has ruled them out, the MDX will not tow 4,000 pounds and the 4 runner is underpowered and has an ugly interior and is just out classed by the domestics, The only other SUV that I really fit my needs was the QX4, and I could not justify the $7,000 in price difference. I’m also keeping the Audi as my "fun car" And I decided on blue, will go nicely with the Dark Green Audi. I guess I’m strange, I don’t care what name is on the hood, just the best car that fits my needs for the money.

Ah, give Herbie a break. He still insists on telling the world that he was stupid enough to buy a truck he didn’t like, and then he makes it even worse by *repeating* it. <snicker>

So, I’m in the minority… I picked up a 2002 Eddie Bauer in Toreador Red, and I think that’s one of Ford’s best colors. I would have ordered Tropic Green Metallic Clearcoat again (like my ‘99), but Ford doesn’t offer it on the Explorer this year. Good luck either way!

I see you did not comment on the thread I suggested you read "Sorry Ford…Not Again." Why is that? Is it because the thread confirms what I have been saying all along? It is pretty easy to be self righteous when you are selective in your reading…. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> I don’t take kleenex from trolls. >AZGuy, >Would you like a kleenex to wipe those tears? >There are numerous others who have posted lately who feel the same way >about Explorers. Sorry to hear of your problems with the S4 – I’ve driven one before and I thought it was a blast – can’t wait for them to launch the new one based on the new bodystyle. Go nuts on your Explorer man, I love mine for all the crap I dish at it. However Ford will not find me in a new one since they sold out to short people (no offense) and made the cockpit cramped for anybody taller than 6 foot largely due to a poorly executed front seat redesign.
