2002 Trailblazers Available ?
Question:
Any news re the Trailblazer/Envoy being available, or are parts still being diverted to repair the recalled vehicles ? Another NG reports that production resumed on 4/19. Also, I’m told that a dealer in Memphis area is asking $500 over MSRP! Any reports of similar markups? You’d think that they’d want to get the recalled inventory unloaded and put a few on the road to compete with all the 200 Explorers/Mountaineers that are showing up everywhere. Thanks in advance for info…

Can’t find any here in Washington State. Our local dealer has their one and only model still parked in the back lot waiting for parts. I called them yesterday and they had no idea when they were going to get it fixed so I could take it for a drive. Supposedly this was an "easy" fix but so far it doesn’t look like they have made much effort or progress and it has been a month! They have certainly lost a lot of sales. What is discouraging is that like Ford, the folks at Chevrolet never communicate properly with the public to let us know what’s going on. It’s all so secretive. It would sure be nice if they would update via their web pages or something!!!

I saw a truck of that body style (Trailblazer, Envoy, Bravada) on the road here last week. The owner may have been taking his/her chances that it wouldn’t fail but I also haven’t seen the Trailblazer a local Chevy delaer had, in the front or back lot… – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > | Any news re the Trailblazer/Envoy being available, or are parts still > | being diverted to repair the recalled vehicles ? My local GMC/Oldsmobile dealer has a couple of Bravadas, which my wife and I test drove yesterday. My impression; it handles well, but the seats are uncomfortable and the inline-6 engine is a dog. It had the 3.73 rear end. The engine was smooth, but noisy at acceleration, and doggy. |It had the 3.73 rear end. The engine was smooth, but noisy at acceleration, |and doggy. Hmmm. That’s just about the opposite of all the reviews I’ve read, which make a point of the quietness of the engine, and of its flat torque curve throughout its operating range… but those have been reviews of the Trailblazer and the Envoy. I can’t recall seeing a Bravada review. I wonder if Olds screwed it up somehow? Well, it’s moot until I get a chance to drive the Envoy myself. — |I always wanted to be someone,| Tom Betz, Generalist | |but now I think I should have | Want to send me email? I’m comparing it to my 99 Silverado and my wife’s 01 Yukon. It’s also a dog compared to the 98 Blazer we had before the Yukon. The only difference I can think of is that the Bravada is full-time 4wd.
